There is alot in a name.

Hey there! Welcome to Grumpy Toad Toggery, a quirky little men’s clothing and custom graphic tee shop in Albany, Missouri.  Alot of people have asked me about the name, so I will do my best to explain.

Why "Toggery"?
I went with "toggery" because it’s a fun, old-school term for clothing! It has charm, right? I wanted to create a place where you can find stylish gear that feels timeless yet totally cool.

Meet the Toad:
Now, let’s talk about the toad! This little guy represents my son, Silas, who had an unmatched love for nature. He was our adventurous little explorer, always fascinated by critters—especially toads! So, including a toad in the name is my way of keeping his spirit alive. Every time I see our little toad logo, I remember his joy for the outdoors and all those little wonders in life.

Grumpy Old Me:
And then there’s the “grumpy” part. Well, I’ve got a bit of a reputation as a “grumpy old man.”  But trust me, it’s all in good fun (most of the time)! I think it adds some character to the shop and lets everyone know I’m just a playful guy who doesn’t take myself too seriously.

My Vision:  
Grumpy Toad Toggery isn’t just about clothes; it’s about weaving fun stories into your wardrobe! I want every piece to feel like a celebration of life, nature, and the little moments that make us smile.
